6-Axis Wheel Force Sensor
Part of the A&D VMS system, the A&D wheel force sensor (WFS) is a high-accuracy, 6-axis wheel force measurement system for real-time measurement of forces (Fx, Fy, Fz) and moments (Mx, My, Mz) acting on the wheel hub under dynamic conditions. The WFS uses distributed force bridges for measurement and model-based decomposition in the digital signal processor (DSP) for obtaining individual force and moment components. This method provides extremely low-cross sensitivity, interference & temperature sensitivity while still maintaining a high sampling rate. In addition to providing the highest accuracy and response rate, the WFS is also capable of compensating for tire uniformity characteristics in real-time to provide the ultimate in force and torque measurement.
