eMobility Solutions
A&D offers many solutions for eMobility
Solutions for:
eMobility
eMobility:
In some shape or form electric motors, inverters, battery pack are now becoming an integral part of modern vehicles. Complexity of the overall system design is increasing exponentially because it requires various individual controllers such as MCU (motor control unit), TCU (transmission control unit), BMS (Battery management system) VCU (vehicle control unit), ECU (Engine control units) and so on.
Power Inverters:
Inverter is a bi-directional DC-AC power converter device. DC battery pack acts as a energy storage device. Inverter plays the role of efficiently making this energy available to drive eMotor in the powertrain or feeding energy back to the battery pack while regenerating.
eMotor:
Use of electric motors in the vehicle isn’t new but now its used in varieties of ways. As an integral part of the transmission or stand-alone to supplement the power, absorb braking energy, regenerate and store electrical energy in the battery pack, or directly mounted on the wheels to drive/brake the vehicle, possibilities are endless, many times defined by P0, P1.. configurations.
OUR TURN-KEY SOLUTION
eMobility starts with A&D
MCU talks to the higher level controller and ensures inverter/motor does what is it expected to at any given time. It takes split second decisions by evaluating hundreds or thousands of parameter and has to ensure that the task is carried out efficiently and swiftly. DC battery pack essentially either replaced the conventional fuel tank (BEV) or supplements (Hybrid) depending on the design and configuration. Basic function is to store and provide power, ensure safety, maintain the life and health of individual cells and modules that its made of.
We all love our cars and trucks. We want it to take us from place A to B when we want, safely, efficiently. In order to achieve safety and reliability that we are use to from conventional IC engine powered vehicles, design and manufacturing engineers have the monumental task to deal with increasing complexity of the new technologies and deliver the product that meets all the regulations and customer would want to buy.
A&D has been working with automotive manufactures and suppliers for many years and has a history of providing solutions for testing all of the above sub-systems individually and collectively. We understand the complexity. We provide custom solutions using many of our standard products. Solutions may be simple motor/inverter, BMS, Battery pack, cell, transmission axle, eAxle testing or something that requires hardware/software in the loop (HIL), calibration or mapping of various controllers. You want to test, chances are we have a solution for you, if not our engineering team is always ready to craft a special solution that meets your needs.
