Phoenix AM/RT: Combustion Analysis & High Speed Data Acquisition
Phoenix uniquely combines combustion analysis and high-speed DAQ in a single, synchronized platform—allowing engineers to correlate combustion performance with mechanical and structural behavior in real time.
A&D Technology’s Phoenix system and its Combustion Analysis Software go beyond real-time cycle-by-cycle combustion analysis combustion analysis—delivering a powerful, integrated high‑speed data acquisition (HS DAQ) platform for modern engine and test cell applications. Designed to capture fast, dynamic events, Phoenix records critical signals such as combustion pressure, vibration, strain, and transient temperature with exceptional precision and synchronization.
With up to 48 channels of high-speed data collection and a 2 MHz sample rate, Phoenix enables engineers to analyze complex engine behavior in real time. Its advanced capabilities support combustion measurements at speeds up to 12,000 RPM with 0.1-degree encoder resolution, providing detailed insight into engine efficiency, indicated power, heat release, knock detection, and ignition and injection timing.
Phoenix’s HS DAQ capabilities extend across a wide range of measurements—including pressure, acoustics, vibration, torque, CAN/CAN FD data, and more—captured simultaneously within a single system. This synchronized approach is critical for correlating high-speed physical signals with vehicle network data, helping engineers detect structural anomalies, optimize performance, and prevent catastrophic failures. Built for demanding applications such as transient testing, dynamic signal analysis, shock and vibration measurement, and power electronics validation, Phoenix supports real-time recording and seamless data integration. Data can be easily transferred to A&D’s iTest automation platform or exported to industry-standard analysis tools like MATLAB, Python, DIAdem, Uniplot, and Excel—accelerating workflow from test to insight.
