The third annual A&D Technology forum was a great success! The two-day event held May 9-10 had record attendance, with customers representing over 20 different companies. The program was well received, and the feedback provided some great inputs for future direction.
The first day began with an expert user group session moderated by A&D products experts, followed by a technical open house. Both were held at the A&D Technology headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This provided a great opportunity for the entire A&D team, from sales to product development, to interact with existing and potential new customers on a personal level. Activities during the open house included technical training workshops and a variety of product displays, including a full vehicle measurement system, several examples of the iTest and iTest.LA test automation systems, the Phoenix C3 combustion analysis system, and the Procyon simulation system.
The day ended with a cocktail reception and dinner at the historic Henry Ford Greenfield Village, which is located near Ford Motor Company’s world headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. Guests were treated to carousel rides, Ford Model T rides, and then dinner in an authentic 1850’s-style tavern. This was another great networking opportunity, and a chance for everyone to get to know each other in a casual, fun setting.
More than 50 people attended the technical presentations on Day 2, which included six guest speakers from John Deere, the University of Waterloo in Canada, Intrepid Control Systems, and Southwest Research Institute. An industry expert on emissions regulations gave a very interesting talk about the history of greenhouse gas emissions regulations. A&D’s own technical experts also gave updates on our Test Automation, Battery Testing, Lab Management, Combustion Analysis, Engine Calibration and Simulation products. Attendees all agreed that the program was very informative, and they appreciated the opportunity to learn more about A&D and network with others in the industry.
